Number 212 Scizor

I collect Pokemon figures. I mostly go after the ones I really like, particularly Pokes I enjoy using in-game. Turns out, since a playthrough of HeartGold, I REALLY like Scizor. I thought it was a little overhyped with its popularity, but turns out it's awesome and fucking useful! Whoohoo! SO, I searched for Scizor figures online. I was able to find maybe 2 different kinds, and neither looked that good; neither was priced that reasonably, either.

AND SO the other day it occurred to me - I can craft one for myself! Yesterday after a loooong trip out to the FedEx office, I decided I wanted to craft when I got home. I set about making my Scizor, after deciding it was what I wanted. Found some references online and went for it! As you can see, it's still not entirely accurate. Meh. I'm not 100% pleased with it, but I still think it's pretty fuckin' cool! Scizor looks a little bit self-conscious, though - that or highly pensive. You decide!

I made the armature from some galvanized steel wire, and the body is made from Super Sculpey in original and in firm, for a couple spots. I used various acrylic paints, mostly cheap apart from the red and the metallics. All said and done in roughly 7-8 hours, including the baking fiasco of this particular model.

Scizor belongs to GameFreak and Nintendo. It's also a badass bug, h'yup.
