Hey! Canadian nerd / artist here. All-round I'm a pretty silly person and humour tends to dictate my day to day [though it ain't always good humour, just sayin'].

I have a passion for art and an interest in a bunch of media, mostly visual. Thing is I tend to get passing interests a lot, so I will begin working in one medium for a little while and then be done with it for a while. I get very fixated and then flighty with some things. My biggest concern is that I'm always channelling my creative energies SOMEwhere. I feel terribly restless and frustrated when it just sits.

I do draw, I have done a bit of painting, I have a tablet for dabbling in some digital art, and a bunch of other craft materials I play with from time to time. I tend to have dry spells of updating here when I haven't been actually -making- things, but there are also times when I have a bunch of things to do up. Convention season tends to motivate me. =D

I'm also part of a nerd culture podcast! Check us out in the Youtube link below!

Interests
I have been playing Pokemon Y and ugh I love this game. So much of it, while fresh and new, feels like such a love letter to players of the first games who have stuck with the series since. So many references and callbacks; so many subtle but significant features (small things like, uhh, being able to sit down. On THINGS. And to RIDE POKEMON. And to RUN DIAGONAL SDSFNSDKVNSVK) that people today take for granted in most games; even character customization is standard in a lot of games, but this is the first time in Pokemon we've had some control over how our character looks (outside of the boy-or-girl thing, which didn't come until Crystal). It's so pretty. And it's so NICE - people GIVE you things all the time! Practically every sixth NPC you talk to gives you stuff!

Okay, so I have thus far beaten the Elite Four the first time and fought my rival. I have since taken up shiny hunting with Chain Fishing, which has yielded me 4 shinies thus far! My first ever chance shinies I have encountered myself in all my years of Pokemon-ing (not including red Gyarados or the shiny legendary beasts from HG/SS, and apart from the shiny Pokemon given to me by a friend and by my girlfriend - my great thanks to them, though!) have been found through the Chain Fishing method; I sent a shiny Remoraid off on Wonder Trade to spread some of the bounty. I am currently trying to hatch a shiny Eevee with its hidden ability, as the exchange for that Remoraid was an Anticipation Eevee from a Japanese player, male... So I got a Ditto and bred until I hatched a female with Anticipation, and now the two are producin' until I get a sparkle-sparkle. =D

So to my friends playing X and/or Y - I wish to exchange Friend Codes! It's great to help build Friend Safaris, and fun to have more folks to trade with / battle / o-empower / etc.

My Friend Code is 3437-4500-5731. Please feel free to add me and comment back with your own code!

And if you have a 3DS and do not have Pokemon X or Y, I highly recommend the games. They are much fun, they promote a great community, and they are probably the best Pokemon games to come out yet. Enjoy!
